Legal notice and terms of use
Welcome to Black Swamp Media. This page outlines the terms and conditions governing your use of our website and services. It clarifies our professional boundaries, protects our journalistic integrity, and informs you of your rights and responsibilities when interacting with our content and platform.

Our professional identity
Black Swamp Revolutionary Media, based in Haviland, Ohio, operates as an independent investigative journalism and media outlet. While our founder is a Certified Human Rights Consultant with extensive legal grounding, we are not a law firm and do not provide legal advice. Our mission is to advocate for human rights, transparency, and accountability through an uncompromising lens of human rights, heavily grounding our work in First Amendment protections, ADA accessibility guidelines, and legal press precedents.
Black Swamp Revolutionary Media is a private, independent enterprise. We are not a non-profit organization and operate autonomously, free from external grants, rules, or obligations that might compromise our journalistic integrity or independence.

Intellectual property and usage rules
Our investigations and content are produced for the public good and for justice. While we encourage the sharing and amplification of our reports, please note that all content is proprietary. You are permitted to share, link to, and amplify our reports, but you may not download, edit, or monetize our raw video audits or investigative findings without our express written consent. This policy ensures the integrity of our anti-racist, anti-fascist context and prevents unauthorized alteration or misrepresentation of our work.
As a Certified Human Rights Consultant, we provide high-stakes consulting and investigative audits. However, it is crucial to understand that we do not provide legal advice. Our role is to investigate and consult, clarifying that while we possess deep knowledge of laws such as the First Amendment, ADA, and ORC, we are not attorneys and our services should not be construed as legal counsel.

Prohibited conduct and enforcement
To maintain the integrity of our investigations and the safety of our sources, the following behaviors are strictly prohibited. Black Swamp Revolutionary Media reserves the right to restrict access, take legal action, or pursue public exposure for any individual or entity engaging in these actions:
- Evidence tampering and misrepresentation: You are prohibited from downloading, editing, or "sanitizing" our investigative video footage or reports to alter their context. Our work is presented through an anti-racist, anti-fascist lens; any attempt to re-edit our content to support a contrary agenda is a violation of our terms.
- Bad-faith submission (trolling): Our investigative intake form is for verifiable reports of institutional oppression. Submitting false reports, "spamming" the system, or attempting to bait our consultants with fabricated stories will result in a permanent ban and, where applicable, reporting to relevant authorities for obstructing a private enterprise.
- Journalistic work product: Any attempt by law enforcement or other officials to seize or interfere with our equipment or data, including but not limited to cameras, storage devices, or digital files, will be considered a violation of the Privacy Protection Act and may result in personal liability. We actively monitor for agency IP addresses and will take appropriate action against any unauthorized access or interference.
